Farm Equipment Operator Position immediately available on this family owned 1600 acre corn, soybean and sugar beet operation in south west Minnesota. You will be working on a team of 3 - 4 long term employees lead by the owner. They pride themselves on working, learning and making decisions together.

The operation employs modern state-of-the-art technologies to monitor fields and control precision planting and applications of fertilizer and pesticides. The mostly newer John Deere equipment has GPS, auto steer, row track and monitors. Equipment is repaired and setup in a modern heated shop facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate, maintain, and setup modern harvesting, tilling, planting, and spraying equipment for corn, soybean and sugar beet crops.
Operate computer systems that monitor and control equipment.
Operate, maintain and conduct safety inspections on semis.
Troubleshoot and diagnose all systems related to equipment.
Calibrate and operate large field sprayer, follow labels, blend chemicals and operate sprayer monitor
Scout crops and fields

QUALIFICATIONS
Looking for an assertive, self-motivated individual to use their mechanical and organization skills
A valid driver's license in required. A Class A CDL is a plus, but not required.
The owner is open to training a motivated learner with demonstrable mechanical skills.
Knowledge of computer systems used in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
Must have or be able to obtain a private pesticide applicator's license
Basic computer and cell phone app skills. Some of the farm's computer systems are accessed through cell phone apps.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two years experience operating modern farm tractors and machinery is preferred.
Some basic experience operating farm equipment is required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School grad or GED preferred

SKILLS Operate farm equipment, computers, repair and maintenance of equipment and buildings
