Job Description

Primary Accountability

The Landscape Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of landscape projects and managing the field teams who bring these plans to life. This includes collaborating with clients and internal teams to develop or refine landscaping plans, which may feature ornamental plants, ground covers, and structural elements such as walkways, water features, and lighting. Where qualified, the Operations Manager may also contribute to or lead the design process. Additional responsibilities include estimating costs, sourcing materials and equipment, and managing labor resources to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to company standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct landscape installation and maintenance crews.
  • Plan daily crew assignments, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Train and mentor team members on safety protocols, procedures, and proper equipment use.
  • Enforce safety guidelines, particularly when using heavy machinery or handling hazardous materials.
  • Conduct pre-job site visits to develop action plans, and post-job inspections to ensure quality and completion.
  • Meet with clients to review project status, address concerns, and offer enhancement recommendations.
  • Ensure both client expectations and company performance standards are consistently met.
  • Promote strong client relationships through clear communication and prompt service.
  • Maintain the quality, safety, and appearance of all job sites in accordance with Lewis Property Services standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the landscaping division for the Orlando, FL branch, including personnel oversight.
  • Ensure proper storage, care, and use of all equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate with the Branch Administrator to maintain up-to-date client and job information.
  • Procure necessary materials and supplies, while tracking costs and managing deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CPCO (Certified Pest Control Operator) License preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a landscaping or field operations management role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Capable of performing manual labor and standing for extended periods (50–70% of the time).
  • Tolerance for moderate noise levels in outdoor work environments.
