Come join the growing field of cannabis! We are searching for a full time Overnight Loss Prevention Associate who will work primarily at our location in Garden City.

This is a full time, overnight role, regularly scheduled around 40 hours per week. The schedule is Friday - Sunday from 6 pm - 6 am.

We're looking for a well-rounded candidate with experience in customer service, security, and retail. Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a strong advantage. The ideal candidate is friendly, team-oriented, and enjoys working with both customers and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment are essential. As we operate in a highly regulated industry, strict adherence to rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures is critical. A high level of integrity is required, as this role involves handling both cannabis products and cash in a security-sensitive setting.

Pay - this position starts at $16/hour.

Our Security team works closely with the retail and operational parts of our business. 

Basic Functions of the Job:

• Uphold the state laws and the organization's rules for both customers and employees.
  
• Observe multiple camera feeds on a bank of monitors.
• Report unusual activity seen at any location to appropriate leadership.
• Observe other locations via extensive security camera system, to provide back up and support when needed. 
• Escort vendors and visitors around the property.
• Pocket checks: visually inspect to ensure no marijuana products are on employees as they exit the facility—no physical contact or touching of employees during pocket checks.
• Check temperatures and humidity levels of facility grow areas once the last cultivator leaves
• Investigate and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Previous loss prevention experience or security preferred.
• High ethical standards, and willingness to follow all rules by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) and the organization.
• Basic computer skills needed to operate camera systems, and keep up with communication and logs. 
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication skills.
