This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

If you are self-motivated and are interested in working in a production environment, the Outgoing Mail unit wants you to be their next Mailing Machines Operator II. Outgoing Mail is looking for self-motivated staff that works well in a production environment. This is the expert/specialist level in this series. Must be able to operate various mailing machines and equipment consisting of high-speed mail inserters, card attaching equipment, postage meters, heavy duty folders, scales, joggers, barcode reader, and sorter machines, and make complex adjustments and minor repairs on these mailing machines. Maintain daily production records and transport material on pallets, cages, and/or postal carts, complete proper forms for the Post Office billings. Only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

Working Conditions

Shift Hours are 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Must be able to lift/carry boxes weighing up to 50 lb. and keep work area clean and safe. Due to hazardous noise environment from operation of mailing machines, hearing protection is required at all times.
