DESCRIPTION

St. Odilia School is seeking a full-time, Middle School Math teacher to join our faculty and staff for the 26-27 academic year.

We are looking for a teacher who is excited to teach middle school students and bring a joy and love of learning to these young adolescents. The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom management and be able to motivate students toward academic excellence. This new faculty member will be committed to advancing the mission of St. Odilia School by:

Providing a safe, loving, nurturing learning environment for our students.
Foster an environment in which each child is called into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Enabling our students to achieve high academic standards through an advanced curriculum.
Working with our students to develop a character based on personal integrity.
Providing an environment where students are engaged and seek to understand math and want to continually show effort to improve and do well.
Participating as a member of our community in workshops, staff development opportunities, and committee responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

BA or BS Degree, Current MN Teaching License to correspond with courses taught.
Exhibit competence in instructional methods and knowledge of subject matter being taught.
Demonstrate evidence of good classroom management techniques.
Develop and maintain a positive rapport and relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Experience with technology in the classroom, SMARTBoard, iPad, Macbook.
Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with school, students, staff, and parents.
