The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Network and Computer Systems Administrator (ESTEL)-Junior. The salary range of this position is $89000.00 - $135000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Network and Computer Systems Administrator (ESTEL)-Junior may include:

• Installs configures and maintains an organizations local area network (LAN) data communications network operating systems and physical/virtual servers
• Performs system monitoring
• Verifies the integrity/availability of hardware network and server resources/systems
• Reviews system and application logs
• Verifies completion of scheduled jobs including system backups
• Analyzes network and server resource consumption and controls user access
• Installs/Upgrades software and maintains software licenses
• Assists in network emulation/virtualization analysis planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software

Must-haves:

• BS Degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Computer Science Information Systems Data Science Software Engineering or substitutions designated by CSWF Work Role 451 OR meets the CSWF certification requirements (CSWF Qualifications: years of relevant work experience
• Certified Network Defender (CND) OR CompTIA Network Certification OR CompTIA A Certification OR substitutions designated by CSWF Work Role 451
• Experience with RHEL
• Experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server (current versions)
• Experience with Active Directory (AD)
• Experience with STIGs
• The ability to maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Holds final Top Secret eligibility

Desired Skills:

• Experience with VMWare
• Experience with VxRail
• Experience with Powershell
• Experience with networking
• Experience with Ansible

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to support various labs at PAX River for a majority of their day. The physical environment also requires the employee to work in an office sitting in a cubicle or at a desk looking at a computer for part of the day.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions overnight travel may be required.
