Job Description

Adventure Point Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our team, specializing in the care and education of children from infancy through five years old. Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's development in all areas including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's individual needs.
  • Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining accurate and confidential records to support ongoing learning plans.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth, milestones, and daily experiences, fostering strong partnerships.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff members to maintain consistency and continuity in classroom routines and center policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and center protocols.
  • Support children's social-emotional development by modeling positive behavior, encouraging self-expression, and resolving conflicts constructively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience working with infants through preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and early learning strategies tailored for infants to five-year-olds.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Demonstrated patience, creativity, and empathy when working with young children and their families.
