Job Description

About the job

Twilio’s events bring our customers, partners, developers, and employees together around the ideas shaping the future of communications. This role helps make those moments possible by ensuring every speaker feels prepared, supported, and ready to deliver.

As Global Event Manager, Event Content and Speaker Operations , you will own the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps our content programs moving. You’ll manage the speaker journey from confirmation through show day, lead content operations across our event portfolio, and bring structure to the many details that turn an agenda into a polished live experience.

You’ll work across teams, systems, timelines, and time zones to keep speaker communications clear, content accurate, milestones on track, and production handoffs seamless. Just as importantly, you’ll create a thoughtful, high-touch experience for the executives, customers, employees, and partners who trust Twilio with their stories.

This role is a great fit for someone who loves bringing order to complexity, builds trust quickly, and knows that the best event experiences are powered by both strong operations and genuine care.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own the end-to-end speaker journey across priority Global Events programs, from confirmation and onboarding through content readiness, rehearsals, onsite support, and post-event follow-up.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for executives, customers, employees, partners, and internal teams, making sure speakers know what to expect, what is needed from them, and where to go for help.
  • Lead content operations across flagship, regional, executive, and internal events, including call-for-sessions workflows, agenda data, session metadata, speaker records, deck tracking, reporting, and production handoffs.
  • Manage event content systems, ensuring approved agenda and speaker changes are reflected consistently across platforms, workbooks, dashboards, and production documents.
  • Build and manage clear workbacks, communications plans, milestone calendars, rehearsal schedules, templates, playbooks, and status updates that help teams stay aligned.
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Brand, Creative, Legal, Developer Network, Sales Enablement, executive offices, production partners, agencies, and the broader Global Events team.
  • Coordinate deck reviews, content deadlines, technical checks, rehearsals, speaker briefings, and other readiness milestones so speakers and production teams are prepared for showtime.
  • Lead know-before-you-go sessions, speaker communications, speaker-ready-room operations, backstage handoffs, and other onsite speaker-support workflows.
  • Identify risks early, solve operational issues where possible, and escalate decisions clearly when additional direction is needed.
  • Create a consistent, high-touch speaker experience while balancing the scale, pace, and complexity of a global event portfolio.
  • Provide clarity in ownership across teams by keeping speaker logistics, content operations, and readiness workflows organized through one accountable workstream.
  • Build scalable processes and mechanisms that can be reused across programs and supported over time by agency partners or future coordinator resources.
  • Lead post-event retrospectives for speaker experience and content operations, turning lessons learned into stronger workflows for future events.

Qualifications

Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn’t followed a traditional path, don’t let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

*Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in event content operations, speaker management, event programming, production coordination, executive events, or large-scale B2B events.
  • Experience independently managing complex speaker and content workflows across multiple stages, session types, stakeholder groups, and deadlines.
  • Experience owning event content systems or agenda-management platforms, including session metadata, speaker records, agenda updates, deck tracking, reporting, and data-quality checks.
  • Experience supporting executive, customer, partner, or internal speakers from onboarding through onsite execution.
  • Strong understanding of speaker readiness, rehearsal logistics, technical checks, content-lock processes, speaker-ready-room operations, backstage handoffs, and production timelines.
  • Experience managing call-for-sessions workflows, speaker communications, content collection, review cycles, and production handoffs.
  • Strong project-management skills, with the ability to build and maintain workbacks, communications plans, templates, playbooks, risk trackers, escalation paths, and status reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to create clarity, build trust, enforce deadlines diplomatically, and stay calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong quality bar for speaker experience, content accuracy, data integrity, brand alignment, and production readiness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and time zones while keeping work moving toward immovable event deadlines.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting large-scale technology, SaaS, developer, customer, sales, executive, or internal events.
  • Hands-on experience with event content and speaker-management platforms such as Sessionboard, Swoogo, RainFocus, Airtable, Cvent, or similar tools.
  • Experience partnering with Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, executive offices, Brand, Creative, Legal, Sales Enablement, and event-production teams.
  • Experience building repeatable speaker communications, content-operations playbooks, data-governance processes, or onsite speaker-support models.
  • Experience guiding agency partners, contractors, or coordinator-level support.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with shifting priorities, high-volume communications, multiple stakeholders, and highly visible deadlines.
