Warehouse Logistics Associate – 1st Shift (FedEx La Vergne)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Abacus is hiring for a high-volume logistics facility in La Vergne handling HP electronics. We are looking for dependable team members for various general labor roles. While US Citizenship is not required for this site, candidates must have a solid command of English(approximately 75% proficiency) to communicate effectively for safety and production.
Available Departments:
Line Feed: Ensuring 5 production lines stay fully stocked. Requires the use of a pallet jack and the ability to unload trucks for at least 2 hours once a week.
Detrash & Segregation: Sorting and discarding non-working products. You will be responsible for segregating materials based on carton, plastic, and equipment type.
Sorting & Scanning: High-speed scanning of products, entering data into the system, and palletizing items for shipment.
Return Receiving: Standing in a dedicated area to scan returned items. If barcodes are not visible, you will occasionally open packaging to locate and scan the correct code into the system.
SITE REQUIREMENTS & RULES
Communication: Must be able to speak, read, and understand English at a functional level (approx. 75%).
Environment: This is a non-climate-controlled warehouse. You must be comfortable working in seasonal temperatures.
Security: All employees must pass through metal detectors daily.
No Electronics: Because we work with high-end HP electronics, personal phones, smartwatches, and tablets are strictly prohibited inside the warehouse.
Professional Initiative: Be prepared to stay busy and assist other departments during any periods of downtime.
COMPLIANCE & ATTENDANCE
Vetting: All candidates must pass our standard screening and verification process.
First 2 Weeks: Zero call-outs or absences permitted.
First 90 Days: Only one (1) call-out permitted.
11-Month Rule: This is a Temp-to-Hire role; eligibility for permanent hire begins near 11 months of service.
Prior History: If you have previously worked at any FedEx facility, you must disclose this immediately to avoid any delay on start time.
