Legal Secretary/Assistant

Our client is a mid-size, AV-rated business litigation and insurance defense firm located in Ventura County, within walking distance from the beach. They pride themselves on a close-knit, collaborative environment and strong ties to the local community. The firm maintains a large number of long-standing staff and promotes high morale along with a positive working atmosphere.

Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties for attorneys and/or paralegals, requiring considerable knowledge of legal procedures.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 3 5+ years of on-the-job law firm experience
• Ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and reports from rough drafts
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent computer skills
• Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

• Salary range: $65,000 $80,000 (based on experience)
