Award winning Los Angeles dining group is looking for a service-driven General Manager to help lead two of their acclaimed fine dining concepts. The ideal candidate will have a balance of chef driven, respected restaurant experience, a deep-rooted passion for hospitality, and a desire to learn and grow. A strong understanding of steps of service, impeccable leadership skills, and a  knack for building relationships is also essential. This person must be highly service oriented, and enjoy being on the floor engaging with guests and setting an example for staff during service. High-level knowledge of food, wine, and cocktail culture is also highly preferred. Open to strong AGM candidates with prior fine dining experience who are looking to step into their first GM role under the mentorship of an acclaimed team. General Manager Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity

• Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service

• Taking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitability
• Solve any guest issues in a timely and appropriate manner
• Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
• Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements

General Manager Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Restaurant General Manager (GM), Food & Beverage (F&B) Director, or FOH General Manager, OR 5+ years as an Assistant Restaurant General Manager (AGM), Senior Manager, FOH Department Manager, Service Manager/Assistant General Manager, or Hospitality Manager in a full-service, upscale or fine dining, chef-driven restaurant environment
• Prior exposure to Michelin and/or James Beard recognized concepts is a big plus
• Strong understanding of steps of service in a high-touch dining environment
• The ideal person will be in touch with the restaurant scene in Los Angeles and excited to continue to grow and change with the times
• Passion for high-caliber food, beverage, and guest service
• Proven track record in leading and motivating a team
• Strong knowledge of wine and spirits
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Hands-on, lead by example style of leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage guest demands
• Highly organized with acute attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a hands-on, high-touch service environment
• Develops relationships with guests to create & maintain guest retention
• Team player mentality
• Process driven and able to implement operating procedures that will continue to maximize efficiency
• Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
• Experience in dealing with high end/VIP clientele
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
• Food Safety Certification
• Able to stand/walk for long periods of time

Compensation Package:

• Base Salary in the $90-100k+ range DOE
• Discretionary Bonus
• Fully Covered Health Insurance
